Weekly Wellness Workout for Union of BC Performers (Copy)

In these uncertain times, stress can have a profound impact on mental health and well-being.  As we pull together to face this current challenge, we may find ourselves falling apart, just a little, as we adapt to life during a pandemic. In this weekly “workout” actors will come together to have some fun, build resiliency skills, and learn powerful strategies for connecting to happiness even in difficult external circumstances.   Self care during this time is especially important as we find ourselves managing a higher degree of stress than usual.   Each weekly workout will include some guided mindfulness meditations, guided reflective writing, a chance to review your inner dialogue, and gentle movement.  This is your 90 minutes a week to take a mindful pause, reconnect with your inner resources,  relax, and enjoy taking part in a self care activity to psychologically strengthen you for the weeks ahead

Stress Less: A Busy Person's Guide to Reducing Daily Stress

Tired of feeling wired up and worn out?

Looking for tools to turn dis-stress into useful stress?

In this introductory stress management workshop, you will learn some of most effective ways to cope with stress.

This informative and entertaining class combines the latest research on best practices for stress reduction through lecture, guided relaxation, discussion, and reflective writing.   You will leave with your own personal stress management workbook to use through the year. 

All participants are welcome to a complimentary consultation after 3 months to check in.  

There will be a 15 minute break half way through the class.   Tea, water, and a light snack will be provided.

-learn how to recognize the difference between stress and STRESS... and what do 

-learn some of most effective techniques to develop resilience to daily stresses based on current research

Un-Masking: An Exploration of the Multi-Faceted Self

We all wear masks every day; at work, at home, & at play… We adjust what we reveal of ourselves in relation to where we are, whom we are with and what is expected of us…but sometimes these masks can start to feel false, over-used and disconnected from who you are & what you actually want to express.

But what if you could express more of who you are & who you aspire to be? What would it feel like to express more confidence… more playfulness…more calm…what if you could explore aspects of ourselves that you want to reveal instead of conceal?

Well, you can… Join me with co-facilitator Mercedes Baines, (RCC, CCC, CAC) in a workshop that encourages you to create & play with the many aspects of yourself.

This workshop will consist of: 

a.brief history of mask making
b. a guided visualization to explore some  daily “masks”
c. mask making using simple tools
d. experiential interaction with mask personas
e. group discussion
f. personal reflection
g. closing ceremony
